Preparations for the 42nd edition of Ikaros International Chess Tournament that will be held from 9th till 17th of July 2019 are under way! This year the tournament returns to its traditional dates in the first half of July and Ikaros is preparing to welcome the chessplayers and all friends who will visit the beautiful island of Ikaria in order to combine chess with their vacations.
Like all previous years, this year too the main objective of the organization committee is to offer an interesting tournament together with reasonable prices to all who will be travelling to Ikaria. Prices will get even lower in case of triple of four bed rooms, while, as also every year, there are special discounts for families, juniors, club teams, unemployed and persons with disabilities. Moreover there are additional discounts for those who will pay in advance. Additionally, this year too, the organization committee will try to get reduced ferry ticket prices for the tournament participants. Special conditions will also be offered to a limited number of titled players. More details will be available in the official announcement that will be issued soon.
